About Us

About Us

In a dusty antique shop during our formative years, we stumbled upon a weathered illustration in a newspaper article: a dog looking into a gramophone. Something about that image stopped us in our tracks. It was whimsical yet sophisticated, playful yet refined. That moment sparked an obsession with the art of the Victorian and Prohibition eras, when artists combined human elegance with the untamed character of the animal kingdom.

We're a small team united by a shared love for this nearly forgotten art form. Growing up, we each discovered these vintage illustrations in different ways; in old books, inherited prints, faded advertisements, hung in our grandaprent´s livingroom, and they left an undeniable mark on our imaginations. There was something magical about seeing a family of polar bears drinking sodas or a swan draped in pearls, creatures given not just human clothing but human stories, dreams, and peculiarities.

As these beautiful pieces of artwork faded from public consciousness, we felt compelled to bring them back. Modern fashion often looks forward, but we believe there's tremendous value in looking back. In rediscovering the craftsmanship, charm, and attention to detail that defined turn-of-the-century illustration. We wanted to share these timeless designs with people who might never otherwise encounter them, and to reintroduce a new generation to the artistry that shaped our own creative minds.

Why Choose Us?

Every illustration we offer has been thoughtfully curated or meticulously recreated from historical sources. We spend hours researching archives, studying period artwork, and ensuring our designs capture the authentic spirit of the era. What you get is genuine vintage character, not a modern imitation.

Our small team means we can focus on quality over quantity. We're not answering to shareholders or flooding the market with hundreds of designs. Instead, we carefully select each piece, perfect every detail, and stand behind everything we create. When you have a question or concern, you're talking to the people who actually care about this art form, not a faceless corporate department.

We also believe that wearing art should be accessible. While original Victorian and Edwardian illustrations are locked away in museums or sold for thousands at auction, we've made it possible for anyone to own and enjoy these remarkable pieces. You get museum-quality artwork at a price that respects both the art and your wallet.

Most importantly, when you choose us, you're supporting a passion project that keeps forgotten artistry alive. You're helping ensure that the elegant, whimsical world of anthropomorphic Victorian illustration doesn't disappear into obscurity but instead finds new life and new admirers.

Every shirt that we make is a little piece of art, and every purchase helps preserve an art form worth remembering.
